Slack alerts for website monitoring
Quick answer
Can Lemwatch send website down alerts in Slack?
Lemwatch posts uptime, SSL, performance and SEO alerts straight into any Slack channel using an incoming webhook. It is included on every plan, including the free one, with no message limit.
How to set it up
What you need: An incoming webhook URL that starts with https://hooks.slack.com/services/.
- In Slack, open Apps, add Incoming Webhooks, and pick the channel alerts should land in.
- Copy the webhook URL Slack gives you.
- In Lemwatch, open the site (or your global notification settings) and paste the URL into the Slack field.
- Press Test to send a sample alert, then save.
What the alert contains
Down, recovery, SSL expiry, domain expiry, performance and content-change alerts arrive as a formatted message with the site name, what changed, the HTTP status or timing, and a link straight to the incident.
What Lemwatch watches
Every alert that reaches Slack comes from the same checks: uptime and response time, SSL and domain expiry, DNS changes, broken links, visual and content changes, Core Web Vitals and SEO regressions. You choose which of them are worth interrupting the channel for.
