The reason it's not the only entry on this list is that uptime is one check type, and most websites benefit from several.

    Verdict: Lemwatch is our own product and we'll be plain: on the free tier we trade UptimeRobot's high monitor count for full check breadth on a small estate. If you have up to ten sites and want to know about Core Web Vitals regressions and SSL expiries and a deployed `noindex` for free, this is the better fit. If you have fifty endpoints to watch, UptimeRobot's free tier is the better fit.

The licence is real (MIT, not source-available), the OpenTelemetry choice ages well, and the cloud product exists as an exit. Web monitoring specifically is not the headline feature, but it's there.

    Verdict: StatusCake's free tier still works after a decade, which is more than most of its 2014 contemporaries can say. If "UK vendor" matters to you for procurement reasons, it's the easiest box to tick.
