    Broken Links Detection#

    How It Works#

    LemWatch crawls your site's pages and tests every link it finds. Links returning 404, 500, or timing out are flagged as broken.

    What We Find#

  1. Internal broken links — Links to pages on your own site that don't exist
  2. External broken links — Links to other websites that are down or removed
  3. Redirect chains — Links that go through multiple redirects (slow and SEO-harmful)
  4. Anchor links — Fragment links (#section) pointing to non-existent page sections

  5. Navigate to your site's SEO tab
  6. Click Broken Links to see the full list
  7. For each broken link, you'll see:
  8. The page containing the link
  9. The broken URL
  10. The HTTP error code
  11. Suggested fix (update URL, remove link, or set up redirect)

    12. Automatic Tracking#

    LemWatch tracks broken links over time. When a previously working link breaks, you'll get an alert. When you fix it, LemWatch confirms the resolution on the next check.
