# Approving and dismissing visual changes

> Accept an expected change as the new baseline, or dismiss noise so it stops re-alerting.

## Quick answer

Every visual alert has **Approve** (make this the new baseline) and **Dismiss** (ignore this one, keep old baseline). Approve when the change was intentional.

## What it does

- Approve — replaces the baseline with the new capture; future runs compare against it

- Dismiss — clears the alert without changing baseline; next different capture will alert again

- Snooze — silences the monitor for a chosen window (useful during redesigns)

## Where to find it in Lemwatch

**Alerts inbox** → click a visual change → **Approve** / **Dismiss** / **Snooze**.

## How to use it

- Open the alert to see the side-by-side diff.

- If the change was intentional (new hero, updated price) → Approve .

- If it was noise (ad rotation, one-off flicker) → Dismiss and consider adding an ignore zone .

- If you're mid-redesign → Snooze for 24–72 hours.

- Approved captures show a badge in the timeline.

## FAQ

### Can I approve in bulk?

Yes — filter the inbox to "visual change" and use the bulk-approve action.

### Does approve trigger a webhook?

No. Only new detections fire webhooks.
