## Uptime Monitoring

### How It Works

 LemWatch sends HTTP requests to your website at regular intervals from multiple locations. If your site returns a non-2xx status code or doesn't respond within 30 seconds, it's marked as potentially down.

### Downtime Confirmation

 To prevent false positives from temporary network blips, LemWatch confirms downtime with **consecutive failed checks** before alerting you. Configure the threshold in **Settings → Alert Preferences**.

### Check Intervals

 Plan — Interval —

 Free — Every 60 minutes —

 Pro — Every 15 minutes —

 Agency — Every 5 minutes —

 Enterprise — Every 1 minute —

### What Gets Checked

- HTTP status code — We expect 2xx responses

- Response time — Measured in milliseconds

- SSL certificate — Validity and days until expiry

- DNS resolution — Can we resolve your domain?

- Content verification — Optional keyword check to verify page content loaded correctly

### Uptime Percentage

 Calculated over rolling 24h, 7-day, and 30-day windows: (total_minutes − downtime_minutes) ÷ total_minutes × 100

### Maintenance Mode

 When you're doing planned maintenance, enable **Maintenance Mode** to suppress alerts. See [Maintenance Windows](https://lemwatch.com/help/maintenance-windows) for details.

### Response Time Tracking

 LemWatch tracks response times over time so you can spot degradation trends before they become outages. A gradually increasing response time often predicts upcoming issues.
