# How do I set my notification preferences?

> Choose which alert types email you, mute categories entirely, and set quiet hours from Settings → Notifications.

## Quick answer

Go to **Settings → Notifications** to toggle email per alert type (uptime, SSL, SEO, security, renewals), mute entire categories, and set quiet hours during which non-critical alerts are batched.

## What you can control

- Per-category email on/off

- Quiet hours (default 22:00–07:00 local)

- Weekly summary email

- Digest vs instant delivery

- Critical bypass (SSL expiring, site down)

## Where to find it in Lemwatch

 **Settings → Notifications**.

## FAQ

### Do quiet hours mute critical outages?

No — site-down and SSL-expiring always break through.
