> Suppress alerts during planned maintenance to prevent false alarms.

## Maintenance Windows

### What Is Maintenance Mode?

 When you know your site will be temporarily down for updates, deployments, or migrations, enable maintenance mode to:

- Suppress all alerts — No false alarm notifications

- Exclude from uptime — Planned downtime doesn't affect your uptime percentage

- Inform your team — Dashboard shows maintenance status with notes

### How to Enable

- Go to your site's Settings

- Click "Enable Maintenance Mode"

- Optionally set an end time (auto-disables when reached)

- Add maintenance notes (what you're doing)

### Scheduled Maintenance

 For recurring maintenance windows:

- Go to your site's Maintenance tab

- Create a schedule (e.g., every Sunday 2–4 AM)

- LemWatch automatically enters and exits maintenance mode

### During Maintenance

- Dashboard shows a 🔧 icon next to the site

- Team members see your maintenance notes

- Alerts are suppressed but checks still run (so you can verify after)

- Status page (if configured) shows "Scheduled Maintenance"

### After Maintenance

 When maintenance ends (manually or via scheduled time):

- Normal alerting resumes

- LemWatch runs an immediate check to verify the site is back

- Any issues detected post-maintenance trigger alerts as normal
