# How to Delete Your Account

> Permanently delete your LemWatch account and all associated data.

## How to Delete Your Account

### Before You Delete

 Account deletion is **permanent and irreversible**. Before proceeding, consider:

- Exporting any reports or data you want to keep ( Export Guide )

- Cancelling your subscription first (to avoid billing issues)

- Removing team members (they'll lose access immediately)

### Steps to Delete

- Go to Settings → Account

- Scroll to the Danger Zone section

- Click "Delete Account"

- Type your email address to confirm

- Click "Permanently Delete"

### What Gets Deleted

- Your user profile and login credentials

- All monitored sites and their historical data

- Alert configurations and notification history

- Reports, baselines, and playbooks

- API keys

- Team/organisation data (if you're the owner)

### What Happens to Your Team

 If you're an organisation **owner**:

- Transfer ownership to another admin before deleting

- Or the organisation and all its data will be deleted with your account

 If you're a **member** (not owner):

- You're removed from the organisation

- The organisation and its data remain intact

### Data Retention

 After deletion:

- Your data is purged from our systems within 30 days

- Backups are purged within 90 days

- This complies with GDPR right-to-erasure requirements
