# Baseline Comparisons

> Capture a snapshot of your site metrics and compare future checks against it.

## Baseline Comparisons

### Pro Plan and Above

Baselines let you capture a "known good" snapshot of your site's metrics, then compare all future checks against it.

### When to Use Baselines

- Before a deployment — Capture baseline, deploy, compare to catch regressions

- After fixing issues — Set a new baseline as your improved benchmark

- Quarterly reviews — Track progress by comparing against previous quarter's baseline

### How to Create

- Go to your site's Baselines tab

- Click "Create Baseline"

- Name it (e.g., "Pre-v2.0 Launch", "Q1 2026 Benchmark")

- Optionally add a description

- LemWatch captures current metrics:

- Performance scores (mobile + desktop)

- Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP)

- Response time

- Security grade

- SEO score

- Uptime percentage

### Comparing Against Baselines

On the site detail page, select a baseline from the dropdown to see a side-by-side comparison of all metrics. Improvements show in green, regressions in red.

### Multiple Baselines

Keep multiple baselines per site to track progress over time. Mark one as "active" to use as the default comparison point.
