# Alert Digest Mode

> How digest mode batches non-critical alerts into a single hourly or daily email, and where queued alerts appear in the inbox.

## Alert Digest Mode

 Digest mode collapses many non-critical alerts into one summary email so your inbox doesn't drown when 30 sites trip the same threshold at once.

### Modes

- Immediate — every alert is delivered the moment it fires (default)

- Hourly digest — non-critical alerts collected for up to 60 minutes, then mailed in one summary

- Daily digest — once-per-day roll-up at a time you choose

 Critical alerts (site down, security vulnerability, escalation step) bypass digest and go out immediately.

### Where queued alerts live

 The moment LemWatch decides to queue an alert for digest, we also write a row into your **Alerts Inbox** with:

- Status: suppressed

- Reason: "Queued for digest"

- Scheduled for: the next digest send time

- Mode: hourly or daily

 That means you can always check the inbox to confirm an alert was captured even before the digest lands in your mail. The reason label is shared with [Suppressed alerts in the inbox](https://lemwatch.com/help/alerts-inbox-suppressed).

### Why two suppression keys read the same

 Internally the engine writes queued_for_digest ; older payloads used digest_queued . Both map to the same friendly label so historical inbox rows stay readable.

### Change your digest mode

- Settings → Notifications → Alert Preferences

- Choose Immediate, Hourly, or Daily

- For Daily, pick the local send time
