# AI usage and quotas

> How AI features count against your monthly quota, per-tier limits, and what happens when you hit the cap.

## Quick answer

 Each tier gets a monthly AI-message allowance. Incident summaries, RCA, and support chat all draw from the same pool.

## Monthly allowances

- Free : 5 AI messages / month

- Pro : 25 AI messages / month

- Agency : 100 AI messages / month

- LTD tiers : match the equivalent recurring tier

## What counts as one message

- 1 incident summary = 1 message

- 1 root-cause analysis = 1 message

- 1 support chat turn = 1 message (regardless of length)

- Autopilot's internal reasoning does not count

## Where to find it in Lemwatch

 **Settings → Billing → AI usage.** Live counter resets on the 1st of each month.

## When you hit the cap

- AI features degrade gracefully — incidents still fire, just without AI summary

- You'll see a banner offering upgrade or top-up

- Rule-based alerts and Autopilot safe actions keep running

### Can I buy more mid-month?

 Yes — one-time top-ups from Settings → Billing.

### Do LTD tiers get quotas forever?

 Yes — quota resets monthly for the lifetime of the deal.
